MISSION STATEMENT
Dear King's alumni in Taiwan
After nearly a decade working in London and New York, I have seen the amazing accomplishments of our global alumni. Our alumni are successful entrepreneurs, capital markets and private equity investors, lawyers, doctors, public servants and officials, and dedicated professionals in the fields of artificial intelligence, dispute resolution, arts and music, business, think tank and many many more.
In New York, I had the amazing opportunity to work with our New York alumni committees to sponsor timely events to talk about women empowerment, Brexit, career advancement and entrepreneurship. We hosted internships for King's Business School students in companies like Morgan Stanley, Alix Partners, McKinsey and others. We had our last event, just before COVID, held at the Harvard Club of New York where we had over 200 alumni attendees and another 50 friends of King's from Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL and the Ivy League schools. It was indeed inspiring to witness the success of our programs. To sum it all up, we impacted and stimulated the King's alumni community in New York to grow from each other and to grow in numbers.
In Taiwan, I also had the amazing opportunity to hear our alums' voices. Many of you wanted more than the status quo and expressed an interest to engage in entrepreneurship and attend career advancement workshops, learn about the latest geopolitics and emerging technology issues from King's and local experts (many are King's alums), and participate in economic and cultural forums and G5/Ivy League events, just to name a few. In another words, you - our alumni aspire to be brilliant and exceptional.
As a community, we can deliver. Our intellects, innovative ideas and capabilities incubated at King's doesn't stop in London, but shall continue here in Taiwan.
Therefore, I call on all alumni of King's to rise to the challenge to organize ourselves to become a premier non-profit organization in Taiwan dedicated to foster growth and create an intellectual environment within our alumni community, form partnerships with elite institutions across the UK, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and maintain close relationships with King's College London in all aspects related to entrepreneurship, education, cooperation and research.
Join me and other like-minded alumni to create a dream team to better serve our community and create a organization we can be proud to call ourselves King's Men and Women.
